Taste for Health - Honeydew Mint Smoothie and Four Topping Oatmeal

This Taste for Health we made two recipes, that when combined, give you a fulfilling breakfast. First, our honeydew mint smoothie is refreshing and hydrating, and is a great way to get in a few extra helpings of fruits and veggies. The mint is also cleansing for the stomach. Then we made four topping oatmeal, to satisfy your hunger until lunch. The oatmeal was topped with different ingredients that all include some form of protein.

Honeydew Mint Smoothie


2 cups chopped honeydew
1 cup chopped English cucumber
12 fresh mint leaves
2-4 tablespoons fresh lime juice, to taste
1 tablespoon honey

Refrigerate ingredients for a colder smoothie without adding ice.
Blend until smooth.
Pour, top with a mint leaf, and enjoy immediately.

Four Topping Oatmeal

1/2 cup steel cut oats
1/4 cup quinoa
1/2 cup rolled oats
Nutritional yeast
Slivered Almonds
Dried blueberries
Ground hemp seeds

Boil oats and quinoa with water until soft and thick. Pour into bowl and top with seasonings as desired.
